Founder & Sommelier | Courtney Wieland

Courtney discovered her love for hospitality at a young age and has never looked back. Her career began in local restaurants, then advancing into luxury fine dining and specializing in wine. Courtney brings over 15 years of hospitality experience to the table. Her love for the culinary world will be evident in the curation of Quincy’s.

Most recently, Courtney was the Director of Operations at Thatcher’s Wine; one of the most globally esteemed wine retailers, consultants, and importers.

Before moving to California, Courtney was the Wine Director for The Modern at the museum of Modern Art in New York City, a two-Michelin starred restaurant and recipient of the Wine Spectator Grand Award. Prior to that Courtney worked in multiple New York famed restaurants, including one of the original foundations for wine list curation, Tribeca Grill.

“I have envisioned opening a place like Quincy’s since I was cooking regularly for friends in my tiny Hoboken apartment. Hospitality and hosting is in my veins, I truly love it. Being able to take some of the world’s most sought after bottles of wine and pair them with incredible plates of food, all in a place that feels like home? Well that’s the dream.. Personally, I don’t eat at many fine dining establishments these days, I seek out simple ingredients that are executed at a Michelin level. Food that satiates the tummy and soul.”
